Kristen developed expertise in student educational needs and rights under the law when she began serving as an independent mediator for the RI Department of Education in 2017, mediating matters between students/families and school districts. She provides skillful and knowledgeable representation on a broad range of educational matters, including evaluations, testing, and classroom accommodations (504 plans), IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), and educational placements. When collaborative efforts are unsuccessful, Kristen will pursue due process litigation, seeking all remedies to benefit students and families.
